There are plenty of bands, artists, singers and musicians out there who typically only look to social networking monster sites such as Bandspace.com or Myspace.com to promote their work, as well as having their own websites…however, there are some bands and artists who are now turning to life casting sites such as Ustream.com to promote their bands. One such innovator is Jody Gnant, a piano pop foursome hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. Their catchy ballads and songs have recently garnered them much praise from critics, including the Phoenix New Times (the purveyor of critics in the dampened Phoenix music scene) who claims Jody Gnant’s approach to music is both solid and versatile. This new “life casting” approach has captured fans from all around the world as they get to watch Jody Gnant as she goes about her everyday life and just what it is that she both sees and does, all from a mounted camera she takes just about everywhere with her. What this has to do with her music I do not know—but it is still a pretty cool way to shamelessly promote your music—from one lead singer to another, and yes I play piano too.
